Mimi's Place 1 is our original transitional living home, created to give independent adults a safe, structured place to heal, regroup, and move forward. As nurses and case managers by background, we designed this house to bridge the gap between discharge and true stability, so residents and referral partners are not forced to choose between unsafe housing or unnecessary facility stays.
Residents at Mimi's Place 1 benefit from a genuinely safe transitional housing stay: a fully furnished, secure home where they can focus on recovery rather than worrying about where they will sleep next. The environment is intentionally drug- and alcohol-free, with clear house guidelines that promote calm, order, and mutual respect. This structure protects residents' health, reduces the risk of relapse or crisis, and reassures families and healthcare partners that daily life is predictable and monitored.
Because many of our residents come directly from hospitals or rehabilitation programs, we build post-discharge recovery support into everyday living. We help residents understand and follow discharge recommendations, keep track of appointments, and stay connected with outpatient providers. Our team offers independent living assistance - reminders, gentle coaching, and practical guidance - so residents can maintain their own routines, manage medications as directed, and rebuild confidence without feeling institutionalized.
The home is wheelchair accessible and supported by 24/7 on-site availability, providing peace of mind that someone is always close by if questions or concerns arise. Together, these features make Mimi's Place 1 a stable, respectful setting where adults can safely navigate life's transitions with real support and preserved independence.
